We did it again. We went up in the woods and cut down our own tree. Doesn't that tree look awesome right there in the woods? Well it didn't turn out to be as perfect as it looked. It was bald on the back side. Darn! That side got put conveniently against the wall.
Just a few days after Thanksgiving we went up. I had a whole plan to bring Jders up with us on a sled behind us, but Farmer Brown was in a hurry and didn't want to stop at the store to get a sled, and then neither of us really wanted to carry her up with us, and Farmer Brown's sister offered to babysit, so we left her. Sorry sis, but I'm sure you had more fun at Grandma B's than you would have had with us.
Dragging her down the hill:Decorating, oh how we look forward to this every year, and then halfway through you think, when will this end? Our stand was not working with this tree, and after decorating it, it fell over TWICE. Once on Jders! Ugh! It's hard to get a tree to look nice after it has fallen over.
You can tell how skiwampus our tree was in these pictures. Woops, better luck next time, if there is a next time. This tree mad me reconsider getting a pre-lit fake one, oh how much easier that would be, BUT wouldn't carry the memories of cutting down the tree. This tree also had little red spiders in it everywhere, I shiver in my seat thinking about them now.
